Covid Vaccination Service (Cohorts 1, 2, 3 & 4 Refer below).   

(1) PATIENTS 70 YEARS AND OVER    Next Clinic Scheduled for Saturday 24th of April (pending HSE Supplies & Delivery)
Priority Cohort:  75 to 79 yrs Shot 2 & others >70yrs  (appointments issued by SMS Text 1-2 days in advance).
Follow up Clinics will be scheduled as follows:  Provisional Dates Only:
7th, 8th & 9th May:       2nd shot for 70-74 yrs & other over 70’s as required.
Appointments Generated Automatically & will be sent to your phone the day before.

(2)   PATIENTS AGED  60 to 69 years (GP Practices will not get any vaccines for this Age Group).

(3)   HIGH RISK PATIENTS Cohort 4a 18-59yrs with the following conditions (n hold)

  • Diabetes: where patient has HbA1c > 58mmol/mol in last 12 months.
  • Obesity: where patient have a BMI >40
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease: where patient is on home oxygen, pre or post transplantation or with a hospital admission related to disease in the past year
  • Patients with Prader Willi Syndrome

(4)  HIGH RISK PATIENTS (Cohort 7) Aged 16-59  (Service on hold)

Patients with Downs Syndrome will be vaccinated in disability services through HSE Community Teams

Patients with (specific cancers, immunocompromised, inherited metabolic disease) who have been identified will be vaccinated through the hospital system.

Emails: From 1st of October there will be a 3-5 day turn around for email responses to Non-Medical Queries.  We will not reply to medical questions or emergencies on email please phone 01 8339856.  NB: Please carefully read our Auto Response emails, the answer or assistance you require may be available from this information.  If you have already requested an administration task by email, this will be actioned, please do duplicate administration time by phoning in the same request following an email.

EFT Online Payment Procedure:  Payment is required in advance of service to reduce the time involved for your onsite visit.   As our lines are exceptionally busy it would greatly assist us if an EFT payment option could be used, payment instructions available on Fees menu option top of the home page.

We have put in place the strictest health and safety protocols to ensure your visit to the surgery is safe for you and for us, please read below.

Email Order needs to include:

  1. Your name and date of birth
  2. List of medications (your pharmacy can order on your behalf)
  3. Your Pharmacy name & address (we will issue directly to them)
  4. Standard Repeat Prescription Fee of €20.00 for non GMS patients

Please note: 

  • 72 hour turn around (during working days) for script to be ready
  • Medication Review every 6 months, before script can be reissued, please phone 01 8339856 to arrange telephone consultation.
  • Please advise of any recent hospital changes to your medications so that we can reconcile with our records (hospital report may not yet be received).
  • Please arrange follow up call to the surgery on 01 8339856 to arrange payment for script to be issued to your choice of pharmacy.

Measures we have taken to ensure a Safe Visit to the Practice

  • Practice Consultation Appointments are available as normal for patients without Covid19 symptoms. Patients with practice appointments will be screened over the phone in advance and at the time of arrival to reduce any risks.
  • Waiting room screen dividers & and a maximum of 10 people in the waiting room at any one time
  • Telephone/Video Consultations Appointments to reduce the need for practice visits.
  • No walk-in patients allowed. An intercom is now fitted at the front door of the surgery so that patients can be screened at the door before entering
  • All patients seen with staff wearing appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment)
  • All equipment/surgery room cleaned down between each consultation in adherence with guidelines
  • Allowing patients to wait in their car and be called on their mobile when it is time to come in. Please ensure to have your mobile to hand
  • Only one essential guest can accompany the patient (parent/ guardian/caregiver) to assist with mobility if required
  • All patients asked to sanitize on entering and exiting the building. Sanitizing hand gel available throughout the surgery
  • Contactless payment prior to consultation where possible
  • All staff provided with personal workstations and appropriate personal distancing
  • All surgery equipment and surfaces cleaned throughout the day

Covid Telephone Consultations

Following your tel consult with your doctors, your doctor may refer you for a Covid test centre according to the public health guidelines. An appointment for testing should follow, waiting times vary and we have no access or control over the scheduling of these calls.

Baby Vaccines

HSE/World Health Organisation, highly recommended baby vaccines are kept on schedule during Covid outbreak. Measures in place to ensure your safety for this service, please tel 01 8339856 for appointment booking. the nurse will ring you and do all the necessary paperwork and consent prior to arrival in the surgery.

Illness Benefit

Illness Benefit forms for first certs (not required for those already on weekly/monthly certs available to collect here or at the local intreo/illness benefit office.  Following first form submission, your Doctors can issue follow up e-certs directly to the department on your behalf thereafter.
Doctors can only certify patients following a telephone consultation.
